Sam + Sarah | Married

Wow… Sarah + Sam have been such amazing clients to work with. I’m not going to write much about how absolutely breath-taking their wedding was, because you can just scroll through the images below and see for yourself. I will, however, talk about the kind of people these two are. Some of the most genuine souls I have been able to work with. Selfless. Sincere. Completely in love. Their ceremony was such a testament to this. Listening to their friends talk about them, it was clear that they are loved by so many.

Knowing that Sarah is a photographer herself, I went into this wedding fully expecting to be impressed by her creativity. I have to admit that I may have underestimated it a little. She did such an amazing job of bringing in really awesome little details that didn’t cost a year’s salary to pull off. The fact that this wedding took place in January, and we were able to have an outdoor ceremony, and the bride walked around barefoot the entire time is also a notable fact. Unbelievable that Texas could be so good to us.

I’m also just a tiny bit giddy, because this was the very first time that I incorporated film photography into my wedding coverage. You can read more about my journey into the world of film in this post from a week ago… but, HOLY COW. I’m completely mesmerized by the untainted beauty of film. The first section of images in this post are all shot with film… no editing done to them… straight from the camera. I simply couldn’t mix them into the rest of the images.
