How is this different than normal school photos?

Unlike larger companies that photograph thousands of children at countless schools, I aim to carefully capture the unique personality of each child rather than forcing them in to a more cookie-cutter smile, click, and move on approach.

By using clean light, a timeless solid backdrop, and informal posing, I try to create a more relaxed environment where the child is more likely to be themself. I try not to make children smile, but gently interact with them to encourage genuine reactions that feel true to that child.

Parents can expect several photos of their child. Images will vary based on the child's personality. Everything from smiles, to laughs, to serious faces are perfectly fine with me... I'm not interested in forcing the child to look like everyone else!

What does online ordering look like?

Gone are the days of cumbersome proofs and order forms sent home with each child! All images will be hosted in online galleries for easy proofing and ordering. The galleries will be grouped by classroom. Parents will be able to access and place orders in a 7 day window once the images are finished.

Does the photographer communicate with parents?

The photographer will communicate expectations and information about ordering photos through the school's communication system.

Are the images expensive?

I aim to provide a boutique style product that I believe parents will be excited to have. However, my pricing is competitive and falls in line with what families expect for school photos. All profit is made through online orders, and parents are given many options for ordering digital and print copies.
