Colorado Vacation 2012

We were so blessed a few weeks ago to be able to travel to beautiful Colorado so I could shoot a wedding. Even though Sara and I averaged about 5 hours of sleep a night because our little guy just couldn’t manage to figure out how to relax on vacation, we still had an amazing time. This was our first real vacation as a family without friends or family there with us. We were able to really use the time to connect and have fun together… just us.

Deondre had never been on an airplane or to the mountains. There were so many new experiences for him that were really exciting to be able to watch. As we prepare to finalize his adoption, this trip came at a perfect time for us as a family. I’m so glad that God has given me a career that I love and that also allows me great opportunities like this.

Here are some of my favorites from places we visited: Pike’s Peak, Georgetown Railroad + Mine, Garden of the Gods, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, and just hiking around.

One of my favorites… nothing like a stream running through the evergreens to say Colorado, right?
