As I packed up my car and headed to this wedding a few weeks ago, I couldn’t help but feel sad that it was such a rainy, dreary day, and this great couple had planned an awesome outdoor wedding at a beautiful venue. It’s on days like that where I find myself checking the weather every 30 minutes on my phone to just be sure that I hadn’t misjudged it and that it may end up being gloriously sunny. But, alas, I pulled into the parking lot and unloaded in the rain.
Instead of finding a bride crying in a corner somewhere because her plans had been derailed, I found a bride glowing as she was getting her hair done. It was still her wedding day, and she was still marrying the man of her dreams. I high-fived her and assured her that her photos would be awesome!
For real… this rainy day wedding blew my mind.
Olde Dobbin Station, I want to put you in our back yard and live inside of you. This place… unreal. For all you Bryan/College Station and north Houston couples… you must check this new venue out and book it while you can. It was a photographer’s dream!
Elaine + Aaron, I’m so thankful that you chose to allow me to tell your unique wedding story. May these images be a reminder of the heritage that began on this day.
